MATC DRIVE Grant

Our Supporters

Automotive programs at MATC meet the growing technical employment needs of the transportation servicing industry. The students come from diverse ethnic, social and economic backgrounds.  Many are the first students in their family to attend college.

In 2017 the program “revved up” with a $1 million leadership seed gift from Milwaukee native and transportation executive J. Thomas Hurvis, chairman of Old World Industries LLC, the parent company of the PEAK automotive brand.  This public private partnership  grant has driven student success with tech specific tutors, success and life coaching, after school clubs, High School and Middle school camps and more.  Successful program course completion and graduation rates are up nearly 25% since program inception. Because of this success, Mr. Hurvis has now generously shifted the program into gear committing to match dollar for dollar every gift, multiyear pledge and even proceeds from this virtual event up to $2 million!

Want to help?  Make a difference with your tax-free online contribution TODAY!  Mr. Hurvis is matching donations to support student success $1 for $1 – your $100 is really $200, your $250 is really $500.        Give $5 or $500…any amount counts.  Yes! I want to donate!
