Auto & Diesel Tech Programs
MATC offers a wide range of transportation technician training programs in Automotive, Auto body and Diesel technology.  All programs are built to meet industry accreditation standards and offer a direct pipeline to employment.  Check them out!

Automotive Technology   The demand for trained automotive technicians is high.  Bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance will be taught on automobiles and light trucks. The Automotive Technology programs are: Ford ASSET (Automotive Student Service Educational Training), MOPAR CAP (Career Automotive Program) and CART (Comprehensive Automotive Repair Technology). Automotive Maintenance Technician    Expand your employment options by gaining skills to service and repair the drive train, and electrical and mechanical systems of automobiles through this program. Co-op credit may be an option.  Job duties may include new car pre-delivery inspection; wheel alignment and balancing; electrical systems, engine and transmission repair.

Automotive Finish Repair Technician   Get started in an auto repair career. This program prepares you for employment with automobile dealerships, body shops and manufacturing jobs requiring spray painting ability. With instructor’s consent, portions of this program may be taken off campus for co-op credit.  Employment prospects are good for trained technicians.

Diesel and Powertrain Servicing  This program prepares you for servicing equipment powered by diesel or natural gas fueled engines, such as construction equipment and marine applications, with emphasis on the heavy truck field.  There is steady demand for truck and heavy equipment mechanics in the transportation and construction equipment industries.
